Ever since childhood, I’ve been captivated by fishing—mastering intricate knots blindfolded and picking up fly fishing by 14. Though I pursued a culinary apprenticeship in Appenzell and later thrived in bartending, my love for angling never faded. Yet, amid the routine, a deeper quest began.

After earning a hotel management degree in 2015, a life-changing 2017 summer in Canada as a Lodge Assistant Manager at a fishing retreat solidified my calling. Returning to Switzerland, doubts crept in—was hospitality truly my path?
